For most Brides their
impression of a Wedding Planner begins with a media stereotype,
pretentious detail and an over-inflated budget. But that stereotype
couldn’t be further
from the truth as one out of every two weddings in the US utilizes a
Wedding Planner.
With the average wedding eating up to 250 hours of planning and
increasing demands on our time a Wedding Planner can be a real time
and money saver.
The reasons for hiring a Wedding Planner fall into three categories.
The first is consultative where their role is simply to sit with you
and help you plan your day helping with timelines, budgets, vendor
recommendations and offering unique ideas to bring your vision to
reality.
The second role of a Planner is Wedding Day Management. They help
with developing a timeline, the rehearsal, looking after the details
of the day and making sure your wedding day flows smoothly. Most
weddings stumble along with no direction which means that the Bride
has to work on her wedding day and worry about the details instead
of enjoying the most important day of her life. A certified and
trained Wedding Coordinator will be the glue that holds it all
together and allow you, the Bride, to be a guest at your own
wedding.
The third role a Wedding Planner is all of the above and taking an
active role in every
aspect of the wedding. That includes setting up appointments with
other vendors,
negotiating vendor contracts to fit your needs and providing advice
that will make your day fun, unique and memorable for all the right
reasons!
